Why put a vCard QR code on your business card
A business card gets read once and typed in rarely. A vCard QR code fixes that: the person you meet points their camera at the card, taps "Add to contacts", and your name, number, email, website and social profiles are saved correctly, first time. This vCard QR code generator makes that code for free, entirely in your browser.
The code is static, which means your details are written into the pattern itself rather than stored behind a short link. It can't expire, it can't be switched off by a subscription lapsing, and it doesn't send anyone through a tracking redirect. The trade-off is that it can't be edited after printing, so double-check the details before you order cards.
Every field you add makes the code denser, and denser codes need more space to scan reliably. A name, phone, email, website and two or three social profiles fit comfortably on a standard card at 2–2.5 cm. If you need more, put a link to a fuller profile in the website field instead.
Social profiles are saved as tappable links in the new contact, so people can follow you straight from their address book. If you're still choosing the handle you'll print, check it's free on every platform first: reprinting cards because a username changed is expensive.
